Cierra + Shannon

¡Viva Mexico!

I decided there was no better way to kick off my blog series than with Cierra and Shannon's incredible destination wedding in Todos Santos, B.C.S. This was my first wedding I shot after deciding to take the plunge into full time photography and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Cierra and Shannon have been partners for a long time- 10+ years! They met in Skagway, Alaska, Cierra's hometown and one of Alaska's most popular cruise ship ports. After about a decade of falling in love, exploring the world, and eventually raising their angel pup Cedar, Shannon asked Cierra to continue their story together forever while on a hike (one of their favorite things to do together). And so began the process of planning their celebration!

These two knew they wanted to have a wedding that not only celebrated their story, but also gave their loved ones an unforgettable experience. Baja is a place that is very special to them, and deciding to share that place with the family and friends who had loved and supported them through all of their chapters was what eventually drew them to the Todos Santos area. They chose Serendipity as their venue, a boutique hotel with beach access and incredible views. Oh, and an amazing pool- which they used to host their rehearsal pool party the day before the wedding. I'll start with a few shots of that before I show you one of the most beautiful wedding days I've ever had the privilege of documenting.
