Sweet Home Chicago
This month, I am so excited to share the wedding of Eddie and Allan with you all! They just celebrated being together for 10 years a few weeks ago, so it felt only right to blog their story this June. I met these sweet gentlemen at a wedding in Alaska in 2021 (shoutout to Lauren and Eric!) and instantly fell in love with them. When they asked me if I'd be willing to fly to Chicago for their October wedding, I was so humbled and grateful. I knew it would be an incredible wedding, and I was right. From start to finish, this hometown love story was filled with family, fun, and anticipation. You see, Eddie and Allan had been waiting to be married for a little while (thanks, COVID). After a couple of stressful years rearranging, plan changing, and rescheduling- it was FINALLY here! And boy, was it worth the wait.
These two put so much thought into their celebration of love, incorporating beautiful traditions from both of their heritages while also maintaining a classy, modern vibe. Tucked away under the impressive trees of Oak Park, IL, they said their vows less than a couple of blocks away their home. We walked around the streets where they have date nights for portraits, and although I love my Alaskan mountains and valleys, there was something so exciting about taking photos in a city for a change.
